What is NSBE?
NSBE is an organization whose mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. Currently NSBE has over 26,000 all over the world. What does NSBE do? Nationally, NSBE facilitates a number of programs including Academic Tech Bowl, produces multiple publications including magazines and newsletters, provides career development, and hosts several conventions throughout the year on a regional and national level. At WashU NSBE acts as a social and professional organization hosting a fall retreat and Thanksgiving dinner to allow our members to connect with each other. We also organize a career fair for all students, host local high school students, maintain a community computer lab and send representatives to both the Regional and National Conventions. Who can get involved in NSBE? ANYONE! The only requirement is a commitment to the NSBE mission. How can you get involved in NSBE? Attend one of our General Body Meetings! Just check the Events calendar for every other Friday in the month. |
